My 9 year old and I have been having a great time making tiny pottery together. The machine is very easy to set up and use if you just hop on YouTube and watch a quick video. I love that it can be used at any skill level and has settings for right or left handed people.
Love it for my granddaughter and myself! She is 5 and things came out differently than the box, but still fun. The item is definitely as mess-free as one can get with clay & water. It takes a little time to get the hang of using the tools in the slot. Being the clay item is small, it’s not a tough thing to start the project over again. I recommend for this age if you are an active participant, but older if you want them to do it independently.
