If you have a young child or grandchild, don’t miss out on creating this timeless tradition with Dr. Seuss’ My Book About Me!
Here’s a fun activity book to fill out for a priceless keepsake!
Kids will essentially write their own biography in My Book About Me by answering some funny and whimsical questions about themselves and their interests from Dr. Seuss. The result turns out to be a priceless keepsake that is funny and so adorable to look back on years later, I promise!
Have a preschool or kindergarten in your life? My Book About Me makes the best gift.
I am so surprised at how many people haven’t heard of this Dr. Seuss book as it was one of my favorites, and I highly recommend it for any kindergarten-aged kids to start filling one out. What a unique and thoughtful gift this would be for a tiny graduate!
It’s a creative writing activity and will become a priceless memory piece. I also like that it has a sturdy hardcover that will hold up over time. It’s like peeking back in time at a really special age since the target age for this book is 4-8.
In fact, I love to give this classic Dr. Seuss book as a baby shower gift or birthday gift for kids because usually, it’s something most people won’t receive duplicates of.
Each page in My Book About Me has unique questions to answer such as:
“My favorite food is ____.”
“My teeth I counted them. I have ____ up top, and ____ downstairs.”
“My home has ____ steps. There are ____ forks in my house.”
“My longest hair is ____ inches.”
It definitely has some educational value and is a great way to capture a snapshot into your child’s world to look back on later.
In fact, I still have My Book About Me that I filled out in 1985!
This book is over 50 years old and is still relevant today! My kids found it hilarious to read my answers as all the toys I mentioned are from the 80’s like Charmkins, Cabbage Patch Kids, and Alf. My mom must not have bought my younger brother his own copy, because on some of my pages my answers are crossed out and he wrote in his own! LOL! 😂
My kids are much older now, but they were excited to fill out their own books around age 5 or 6. I’m so glad we can look back and enjoy their cute answers every so often. My son, pictured above, still likes the same three foods as his favorite 11 years later!
