I LOVE this thing – could not be easier to use and I was laminating less than 5 minutes after opening the box. The laminator is sleek and lightweight, self-explanatory, and simply plugs in. It comes with an instruction booklet, a generous supply of hot-laminating sheets in multiple sizes, two tools for punching holes to store the laminated media, and a measuring tool.
There are two options for laminating sheets: Hot and Cold (the sheets provided with the laminator are for hot-laminating). I simply plugged in the laminator, selected the “hot” option on the toggle switch, and waited for the green light to indicate the laminator was ready. The laminator was ready to go in just a few minutes, and while I waited I used the measuring tool to trim down my paper sheet so that there was at least 1/8 inch of border around the paper once inside the laminate sheet.
I actually didn’t mind that I had to trim the 81/2 x 11″ paper sheet because once laminated, it fit perfectly into a standard-size binder. Once the green indicator light came on I simply fed the sheet into the feeder and it was ready in seconds. The sheet was completely coated and looked beautiful, is thick and sturdy and just wipes clean. I love it! I’m obsessed – I haven’t stopped laminating all our study guides since I opened the box. It’s my new favorite tool – highly recommended! 10 out of 10!
