I don’t typically buy clothing on Amazon. I have a few high-quality brands I love and I usually buy gently worn items on resell apps or at consignment stores, but I was looking for a simple black dress with a very specific length, which I can layer under a favorite cardigan with tall boots, during mild winters here in GA. I’m 5’8 and 42 so finding a dress the right length (not too short but not frumpy long) is tricky. This one checked those boxes, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I ordered a medium for length, and so it wouldn’t cling to my poochy belly. For reference, I’m a size 4/6 and usually wear a small or medium depending on how form-fitting something is (I don’t like tight things). This dress fits so beautifully and is so comfortable. I could wear it alone and accessorize it to look very put together, but it will also be fantastic as a base layer with so many of my fall and winter jackets, dusters, and sweaters. The fabric is soft and stretchy, and the fit is very flattering to my ruler shape (gives me “good” curves but de-emphasizes the troublesome pooch).
