I love the crunch! Ingredients are purely almonds, salt and sugar! (Some oil) it’s super delicious, I won’t change to another brand. I can’t tell if it’s peanut butter or almond either, so it’s a perfect replacement (but this is better lol). It is thick so I can’t spread them well. I’ll try the non-crunchy/creamy next time.
I use this for the date smoothie with frozen bananas (must be frozen), cinnamon powder, dry dates, and agave ( you can leave this out if you don’t want to be too sweet). PREFECT!!! I try this with other almond butters, doesn’t taste as good. This brand is the perfect fit!
I am allergic to peanuts and have tried many nut butters including cashew, sunflower, pea butter, and various almond butters. Barney’s butter is the best one so far: it’s smooth and moist and has a delicate flavor. It spreads nicely, but it isn’t runny.
The price is a little high, but that’s typically the case with peanut butter substitutes, and particularly with almond butters. In all, though, a great choice!
