I’m not a sophisticated coffee drinker. I just like what I like. ( Same with wine). Have been looking for a way to get a rich taste without all the bells, whistles, filters…and a coffee that provides versatility for possible power outages. I read and researched for some time. It made sense to try this and why not get a small one for starters No big outlay of cash.
I could not be happier. I appreciate the review that helped guide me through the process of seasoning it by making several pots of coffee, throwing out the coffee etc. Thank you. I have now made delicious, robust, creamy coffee. So much better than anything I’ve ever tried at a retail coffee establishment.
I set the pot at the edge of my electric burner ( small one) on medium. That’s it. It slowly comes to temp, and begins to gurgle softly as a tiny fountain of coffee fills the upper chamber. Close to the end, I turn the burner off. Then remove it a minute later. If you try to pour too quickly it will splash a bit. Slow down. This is like coffee meditation 😄 We all need to relax and breathe once in a while.
Because it was such a low-cost investment I treated myself to a hand coffee grinder and some organic beans. Can’t wait to try. Enjoy!
