I got these boots for walking and standing in wet grass and mud and was not expecting for them to be as comfortable as they are. I am so happy with them, I end up wearing them longer than really need to. I have plantar fasciitis and don’t really have the pain that I do with other rain/mud boots. The cushioning is really nice and because they are zip and laces, I can keep them a bit more snug and give better ankle support while walking in uneven surfaces. The side zips also allow me to easily pull on and off. I’m hooked, I knew that Wolverine is a good company, but didn’t know what the difference is until now.
Finally! I should have known a company based in Michigan would understand the need for rain boots that are actually supportive enough to wear all day and not end up with feet that hurt (as well as being wet and cold)! These keep my feet dry and are supportive and comfortable. Plus, they look really cute!
I ordered my regular size and a size up, and kept the pair in my regular size. I got the black, and I love that they look a little bit different from your typical duck boots. (The other pair was the dark brown color, and they looked great, too—a classic duck-boot look.) The tread is GREAT on the bottom, and I love the side zippers so I don’t have to lace them up every time. I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest, and have been wearing these almost every day since I bought them. Because my feet stay completely dry, they also stay warm, and I am able to wear my normal socks with these and be comfortable.
