Looking for book recommendations? Here are some books included in these sales that I’ve read and enjoyed:

  • We Were The Lucky Ones (just $8.13) — This was my very favorite audiobook of 2021 and I gave it 5 stars! This is based on the true story of a Jewish family during World War II who were separated all over the world. It is a deeply moving, gripping, and heartbreaking story of love, family, and perseverance against all odds.
  • Educated (just $8.89) — I read this book back in 2018 after my sister recommended it to me. As someone who was homeschooled and grew up in a sheltered environment and knew many families who sheltered their kids a LOT more than I was sheltered, this book hit pretty close to home. And I found that I could relate to much of it in a way that maybe many people wouldn’t be able to.
  • Daring Greatly (just $6.77) – This book was on my top 10 books list I read in 2013. It impacted me deeply and my life will never be the same as a result. In fact, I was so challenged by it that I had a necklace made that I wear almost all the time as a reminder.
  • Unbroken (just $9.09) — This book was one of my top reads in 2016! I listened to the audiobook and now know why so many people have raved about it! We went to the movie back at the end of 2014 and the book was definitely every bit as good as the movie. Such a powerful, powerful true story of courage and forgiveness. Highly recommended!
  • Get Out of Your Head (just $9.10) —If you struggle with insecurity, stress, frustration, or feeling like you are failing, this book is for you. If you find yourself doubting whether God is good or if He really cares about you, this book is a must read. If you feel like you are stuck, overwhelmed, or constantly frazzled, read this book.
  • Killing Kennedy (just $10.94) — Jesse and I both read this one and thought it was really good! In fact, it was one of my top favorite books I read in 2019. I learned so many details of history that I didn’t know. From what I could tell, it was very well-researched and historically accurate. I appreciated that it didn’t seem politically motivated/biased but just very facts-based. If you enjoy history, this is a must-read.
  • Forgiving What You Can’t Forget (just $12.30 after e-coupon) — I recorded a podcast with Lisa in 2020 about this book, and I honestly feel that it’s one of the most important podcasts I’ve ever done. And if your heart is especially hurting right now, I think her words will be a balm to your wounded soul.
  • The Woman With the Blue Star (just $10.07) — I listened to this audiobook and found it to be a really engaging story (that was also well narrated). It opened up my eyes to another World War II story I’d never heard of before: Jews who hid in the sewers in order to survive the Holocaust.
  • Waymaker (just $10.67) — I have loved Ann Voskamp’s other books, and this one did not disappoint. It’s the beautifully raw story of their marriage struggles, health struggles, adoption journey, and walking alongside a medically fragile child. Woven throughout is Ann’s story of learning to trust God and others more deeply and of seeing God’s faithfulness — even when things feel overwhelming and scary.
