This chili spice mix is a great one and is my go-to for all kinds of chili. I use 1.5 packs per roughly 5 lbs. of meat. It is not too spicy, which is why I use the extra 1/2 pack, but the heat does intensify as leftovers.
Love this product. We have been changing our seasoning and spices over to organic based due to heavy metals being found in many that are imported. This is tasty and gives a great flavor to chili, we have used it in with excellent results with chicken, ground beef, and ground venison.
I just discovered this mix a few months ago, and my husband and I are obsessed with it. I frequently cook a pot of vegetarian chili on Sunday, and this was a great addition. I was ecstatic when I found it on Amazon (at a much cheaper price than the grocer clear across town), so I had to buy it in bulk. Plus, the fact that it is organic, is a huge plus for me. I would definitely recommend it and will be buying it again (and again, and again). (Also, right before I purchased this from Amazon, I ended up purchasing another organic chili mix from my local store. However, it was not as good as the Simply Organic brand mix (at least in my opinion). Give it a try!
