We have a cockatoo. Cockatoos produce white dander. Fortunately, we have a dedicated room for the cockatoo and I thought an air purifier would help collect some of the airborne dander when she flaps her wings, etc. Well, it does! I was pleasantly surprised to see how small this unit is.
When unpacking, you have to take the front cover off and remove the packaging from the two included filters. After doing that, that’s it, it’s ready to go. The unit has a timer and various run modes (including a turbo mode). The run modes seem to essentially increase the fan speed to circulate more air quickly. I find mode 2 to be the sweet spot and I run it all the time. When first installing, I cranked it up to the max and did turbo just to freshen up the room.
I really couldn’t believe what a difference it made. It produced fresh, crisp air in the room. Mind you, we have excellent HVAC in our home, but this little unit spot purified this room in a way the general HVAC system has not been able to. I now also run the turbo for a bit any time she flaps around in the room to collect the dander before it settles. It has reduced the amount of dander covering surfaces in the room. Win!!! Great little unit, I’m so glad I got it!
