So I had no expectations. I’m used to using actual gochujang and gochugaru. Because I haven’t been able to go to my local Korean market I decided to try this. It’s not as spicy as Gochujang. It’s around the same spiciness as Sriracha. They aren’t kidding when they say it’s a slow burn though. It really is a nice slow burn. I’d recommend.
This is perfect for my Ramen bowls. It’s not too hot. It’s not too sweet. I love it on pad thai too and spring rolls and pot stickers. It’s versatile. It would probably be good on wings, fish and eggs too.
For you older folks, Siskel and Ebert would’ve given this two thumbs up. Very tasty. You get a balance of sweet and spicy neither flavor too extreme. Very good flavor!
